Where Entertainment Production and Design People Meet!

Hi everyone! It is good to be back writing a new and improved blog. For those of you I may be getting acquainted with for the first time here on pro lighting space, greetings! It has been about five years since my last blog entry. In the past the blog focus was about learning the ropes as a youngster in this business and trying to get a  foot in the door. Now five years later my foot is wedged in the doorway and new things are still being learned everyday. Read along as I share my experiences on the road. There will also be some stories about life and work off the road as well. There many tasks we must accomplish before getting out there to make it happen for the artist whether it’s programming, gear prep, meetings, etc. These blog ramblings will include all sorts of subject matter that will entertain, educate, or even make you dumber.

The blog will cover things spanning from daily rituals of a workday to bus life. Much of the detail in our typical workdays that we’ve come to know all too well will be discussed from my point of view. This will give you a good insight as to what I’m up to each day along with my crewmates. Lets face it there’s no show without the whole crew working together to make the gig happen. As Del Preston said from Wayne’s World Two, “One man alone, can not do this.” I’ll be posting blogs every week, so please enjoy and don’t hesitate to say hello and chat it up with me here on what I’d like to call “The Roadbook.” Next post I’ll be discuss the dreaded downtime during winter and what it takes to survive before getting to bus call. Until next time.                                  ~Tony Caporale
