Lucky for me I finished all my work in Florida earlier than expected. So I just got home last night and realize I get New Years with my wifey. This is all good and I am thrilled to be done with my last gig. I left my buddy Warren down there to tidy up the hundreds of transitions and cues I left in various arrays.
But there is no rest for the wicked. I got a call last month from an up coming band from the west coast. They sent me their new tunes and they were all incredibly good. But here was the thing...., they are just starting out and wish to tour with a small set and lighting package. But no truck. A bus trailer is all the space I get.
Well they have come to the right place. I will design any small thing that can make a stage look a lot bigger than it is. It just takes me some time with my thinking cap on. And a few ideas tossed around between old friends. I have a basic idea, just gotta hatch it into some renderings and get the band to see them. I have a week til I pitch the design against some other freelance design folks. I get excited when I get a chance to work with young acts. Gotta nail this concept. Stand by to standby, for more details.

Comment by Nook Schoenfeld on January 2, 2013 at 10:50am Have fun. I didn't light it like everyone else has in the past. Hope it looks good to you. I left a few things undone before my departure, but I'm sure Warren cleaned it all up.
Comment by Kirk Garreans on January 2, 2013 at 10:44am We're going to see your handiwork tonight over in Tampa, and to see Warren too. Wish you were going to be there - would love to meet you in person. Happy New Year Nook!
