Gear quality? cyber 2's alpha beam 700s, Glp spot ones, coemar acl's and more

He guys was just wondering about if anyone has taken the cyber 2's out on the road yet and how they have held up. Also wondering where the best places are to get them, I know CSL and mainlight have them but was wondering if there is anywhere closer in the gulf coast region.    Also was wondering about the alpha beam 700s. Mainly just the how fast do they move, I know they are really light fixtures so id assume they move fast.  And now that they have been out for a while how have the VLX's been…See More

Console strengths and weaknesses along with compatibility

Posted on June 13, 2010 at 8:14pm 2 Comments

So Thanks to the words of wisdom from my mentors and a couple of people on this website they incouraged me to look past that hog. Well I was already looking at other consoles at that point but just didnt really care to much about them. But Now I have scoped out the majority of the consoles on the market today and heres what I have to say about it.

Personnally My main desk is still the hog 3 but I have learned how to operate pearls, express(ion), and the magic Q since then. Hog…

led par Vs. 1k par

Posted on June 2, 2010 at 7:42pm 10 Comments

So im sitting here crunchign numbers putting in designs bids and equipment list and im thinking What would be cheaper bringing 1k pars or the new elation tri pars for down stage lighting. Mainly because we just got like 24 of them in the shop and they are pretty bad ass im impressed they are one of my favorite led products out on the market considering they only cost like $400 ea. But you know the led pars have a wide spread smooth color mixing strobe and are very bright. Im not sure if they…

Hey Cody,

It was great to have met you during the Production Technology course with Rich.

I'm glad to have put a face with the name, and look forward to seeing you out on the road, or at a tradeshow or training again soon.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call, or email.

oh i see! well ì think it will be in USD instead local money, so i think is better.

hehe yeah this would be the first time i go on tour so that`s why i`m asking just to have a good price for my work :P

here we are paid per day of event but when the event will last more than two weeks or be several shows it`s an amount per all the shows, you know companies don`t want to pay that much.

thanks.

Hi! thanks for reply to my discussion about the avarage wage for a tour.

sorry what a perdium means? :S, well he TM said it would be places like house of blues so i guess is medium size and it would be the house rig so any design is required, just will program and run the shows.

so they pay you the show days, but if ask money per show what about the off days and travel days?, i think is better per week, don`t you think? :)

Hey Cody,
Actually just 1 year. I took time off to enjoy life for a while - and am now doing some freelance writing in our industry. Feels good to stop and breathe. I hope you are well and learning lots of new things.
