It was another large corporate show. Huge arena. We even had a decent budget. How often does that happen? Yeah, we had a lot of lighting and video stuff to go along with a lot of expensive talent. There were a lot of great “moments.” Most of them were crap. Corporate cheerleading, you know? Sell, sell, sell.

It should be immediately be unplugged and marked with a giant, yellow sticker that says: “DANGER!! EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS!! DO NOT EVER SIT ON THIS!! DISPOSE OF IMMEDIATELY!!! IF YOU SIT ON THIS YOUR BUTT CHEECKS WILL CLINCH UNTIL YOU CHOKE TO DEATH!!”…Then roll it up and stick it in any available audio case.

Long show. Long hours. Brutal load out…Sitting on the airplane. First break I’ve had in 2 days. Shoes off. On my way home. Hey…it was great having my entire crew sitting with me at the airport bar though, wasn’t it? For maybe, what, 2 or 3 or so hours? My treat too. Hey, they did a fantastic job for me! Good thing the beers only cost $9 each, eh? Don’t worry, I charged it so I could keep my left over per diem and start a savings account. Maybe even invest in something for my future. Uh…

A little appreciation goes a long way…or does it?
Checking e-mails…a few days after another very successful awards show… Okay, maybe there were…uh… a few minor goofs, but I’ve always been taught to just forget about those and move on. Don’t worry about stuff you can’t do anything about, right?
