"I'd go for the Chamsys, hands down. I has great features for longer-installed rigs, such as the execute pages, and playback-only mode. I would recommend at least a mini wing, so you can take advantage of their iPhone/iPad/Android remote app.…"

"Thanks Dean, Ya I have one of those ebay microplex to dmx converters, it seems to work well. Is the lightJockey program available for free download so I can play around and look at it? "

"If you go Nooks route with the carry on size console, check out the Chamsys MQ60.  Think the MagicQ 100 shrunken by 40%.  Same software, almost identical layout, only 12 universes out, (that is it?!?). I saw it at PLASA, good looking…"

Computer Program

New guy here. I am a sound guy/company with a small light rig. I am looking for a good computer program to operate my lights with. I have downloaded some programs but find them all very hard to navigate and learn. I know I'm just a sound guy and DMX is beyond a guy like me but I thought as a last try I would ask. Right now I am using a Pilot 2000 knock off console, but pre programing is really not workable without having to set everything up, oh and of course it also needs to be dark. . Are…See More
