"The Mac2k has run it's course, and has been replaced by the Mac 700 and the Mac3. But, it's still a workhorse of a fixture- I see more Mac 2k's than anything else

Hi Everyone, My boss asked me this question the other day... As we are planning on updating our Moving head wash inventory in the not to distant future, he wanted to know if I thought that Mac 2k's had run their course? Primarily because if and when we do purchase new fixtures, we of course would like to buy something that is going to last us a long time and more importantly be current enough to be in demand... "speaking of christmas lights the company I work for RZI lighting we own 4 13/20 pannels of the chauvet sparklight. What it is is its kind of like a fiber optic curtain but with tri-color led's I dont know If that would be something to interest…"

"To be honest I am looking for more of a middle ground... tree lights behind fabric looks a little cheesy and would be a pain to setup everyday... What could you do with gause?

"Hello Dayne. Are you shure you want to use LED at all? Consider what you can do with gause, gobos and even christmas tree lights behind a fabric to make stars. Old fashion technologi are still often better than cheap "hitech"."

cheapest high res L.e.d. Curtain for a Christmas tour?
Hi Everyone,I am designing a 6 week Christmas tour on a very small budget... I am trying to design this tour based on a "Elegant ambiance" approach...One of ideas I had was to use an L.e.d. curtain as a backdrop, to give me the option to change me backdrop on a scene by scene bases.The artist said they wanted one of the songs to have a "Stary Night".
